and adjusted cancellation policy

As the situation surrounding novel coronavirus / COVID-19 continues to evolve, we want to personally affirm our commitment to our guests that we are taking extra preventative measures by adding heightened cleaning protocols for your protection. Our standards of cleanliness and safety are now strengthened with enhanced cleaning protocols aligned with the guidance of federal, state, and local health authorities. Our team will make every effort to ensure your well-being and provide peace of mind while you vacation with us.

 

Our Commitment to Your Travel Safety

 

The health and safety of our owners, staff members, guests, and associates is our top priority. In accordance with recommendations from public health officials, including the CDC, we have implemented enhanced operating protocols at all of our properties, including

 

  • Increasing the frequency of cleaning for all high-traffic areas inside our properties
  • Ensuring that all cleaning products in use, meet CDC requirements for effectively combatting the COVID-19 virus
  • Putting protocols in place so that we are prepared to act swiftly if public health authorities notify us of any confirmed cases of novel coronavirus / COVID-19 related to any of our properties. 

  

New Reservations 


Any reservation that is booked between today and April 30, 2020 for travel through June 30th, 2020, can be changed or canceled up to 48 hours before scheduled arrival. All payments made by guests who choose to receive a refund in lieu of rescheduling will be subject to credit card transaction fees associated with the payments and refunds issued. 

 

  • Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has issued an executive order mandating a 14-day self-quarantine or isolation period for travelers coming to Florida from airports in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. 
  • Hotels, motels, other commercial lodging establishments, and temporary vacation rentals, subject to the limitations stated in the Governor's Executive Order 20-70. Hotels, motels, and other commercial lodging establishments shall not accept new reservations for persons other than Essential Lodgers. "Essential Lodgers" are defined as: (1) healthcare professionals; (2) first responders; (3) National Guard members; (4) law enforcement; (5) state or federal government employees; · (6) airline crewmembers; (7) patients; (8) patients' families;(9) journalists; (10) others providing direct services in response to COVID-19; (11) displaced residents or visitors; (12) persons utilizing hotels as transitional living arrangements; (13) persons sheltering in hotels due to domestic violence; (14) hotel employees, service providers, and contractors; or (15) individuals who, for any reason, are temporarily unable to reside in their home due to exigent circumstances;

 

Our Commitment to Your Travel Plans in case you feel the need to cancel or reschedule your travel plans. 

 

Even though Walker Vacation Rental properties remain open for business, we understanding that your travel plans may change. As this situation evolves, we are adjusting our existing cancellation policy to reflect additional flexibility. We encourage you to follow the guidance of public health authorities, and your own medical providers, to make travel decisions that are best for you and your family. As you know, our current cancelation policies might result in the loss of a significant portion, if not all of the monies you have paid, however, due to these recent changes made by Walker Vacation Rentals, we are able to relax our policies and offer the following…

 

  • Existing Reservations. All reservations that are scheduled for arrival before April 30, 2020, can be changed to a later date or canceled up to 48 hours before scheduled arrival. Please note that any changes to an existing reservation will be subject to availability, potential increased rate differences and must be used for travel before December 19th, 2020. All previous payments made by guests who choose to receive a refund in lieu of rescheduling will be subject to credit card transaction fees associated with the payments and refunds issued.

 

This is a challenging time for all of us, as families don’t want to forfeit money spent on vacations they may not be comfortable taking, and companies like ours, large and small struggle to stay in business and provide quality vacations due to these unimaginable, never before encountered circumstances.
